Updated January 29, 2021 By Darren C

On this page: Things to do at Pattaya Floating Market, how to get there and where to get discounted entry tickets, and everything else you need to know about the Floating Market in Pattaya, Thailand.

Pattaya Floating Market first opened in 2008, it was built by local business-man Warida Sae-eung, and quickly became one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pattaya.

The four main zones of Pattaya Floating Market cover an area of over 100,000 square meters, and represent architecture and culture from the north, northeast, central and southern Thailand.

How to get to Pattaya Floating Market

If you don’t have your own transport the cheapest way to get to Pattaya Floating Market is by taking a white baht bus (songthaew) from the southbound side of Sukhumvit highway. From the south Pattaya junction the 5.3-kilometer journey will cost approximately 10 to 20 baht per person.

An easy option would be to use GrabTaxi or charter a baht bus from Pattaya.

For reference – Pattaya Floating Market is located at 451/304 Moo 12, Sukhumvit Road Pattaya, you can navigate your way there using this Google map of Pattaya Floating Market.

Pattaya Floating Market Admission Prices

Entry prices are 200 baht for adults, and free for children under 119 centimeters high. Optional activities inside the Floating Market cost extra.

Check the current status and opening times, read real user reviews, and get discounted tickets and entry to attractions, activities, tours and all the best things to do in Pattaya.

What’s at Pattaya Floating Market

A taste of Thai culture and charm, plus authentic Thai teak wood architecture is what the Pattaya Floating Market is really about. Of course we cannot forget it is also a market, you will find everything from traditional Thai handmade wooden toys to wall clocks on offer in the little boutique style shops.

Thai food, fruit and vegetables can be bought at the food stalls, restaurants and cafes. Food vendors also navigate the waterways of Pattaya Floating Market selling fruit and traditional Thai snacks.

Seems like most tourist attractions in Pattaya like to have a show or two and Pattaya Floating Market is no exception, the shows here include contemporary Thai music and and Sea Boxing.

There is also the Skywalker Sling Adventure, aka Zip Line ride, 15 meters high and spanning 130 meters across the water, this might give you a taste for one the fastest growing Pattaya tourist attractions, the zip line adventure at Flight of the Gibbon.
