Cheap Thrills in Pattaya

Updated January 29, 2021 By Darren C

Looking for some cheap thrills in Pattaya?. There are lots of fun and unique activities to try in Pattaya, enough to keep even the most hardened adrenaline junkies happy. And that’s not including the dubious thrill of a 40 baht motorcycle taxi ride.

The number of available participation extreme sports and activities in Pattaya has grown considerably in recent years. I think it’s fair to say, among other things, Pattaya has become one of the most thrilling cities in Thailand.

More importantly, you can get your thrills cheaper than cheap in Pattaya. In fact, if you know where to look, you can book most sightseeing tours, activities and entry tickets cheaper in Pattaya by booking through online tour agents.

Let’s take a look at some of the most popular Pattaya extreme sports and activities you might be tempted to participate in.

Pattaya Extreme Sports & Activities

NOTE: If I have my own images or video available I will include them, otherwise I will just leave a brief summary. You can find images and info on the operator’s official websites.

Flight of the Gibbon Pattaya

Flight of the Gibbon Pattaya Thailand
Zip lining, rope bridges, and just hanging around make a thrilling day out at Pattaya Flight of The Gibbon.

Zip-lining from tree to tree, walking rope bridges, and abseiling might sound a little scary, but if I can do it I’m sure you can. I also have a fear of heights and no way could I ever imagine jumping out of a plane, or off the top of a Bungy tower. But after a little trepidation on the first ride, our day at Flight of The Gibbon was thrilling and extremely enjoyable, and I do highly recommend it.

Read the review, enjoy the photos and watch the video of myself, my wife, and my mother at Flight of The Gibbon in Pattaya.

Pattaya Bungy (Bungee) Jump & Human Slingshot at Sanook Park

Bungy (bungee) jumping and the Human Slingshot are two of the most extreme (scariest) participation adventures in Pattaya. I’m afraid (I mean I’m chicken) there’s no personal review from me, but you can watch my Bungy and Human Slingshot videos by following the links, below.

Hovercraft & ATV Experience at Sanook Park

The hovercraft and ATV experience are both located at and managed by Sanook Park at Soi 9, Thepprasit Road, where can also enjoy go-karting, paintball, plus the Bungy jump and Human Slingshot as mentioned above.

Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park

cartoon Network Amazone, Pattaya Thailand

Cartoon Network Amazone was the first fully themed adventure water park in Pattaya. It is the most easily accessible if you don’t have your own transport. Popular opinion suggests Cartoon Network Amazone has the most thrilling (scariest) rides in Pattaya. You can find some insightful tips on my Cartoon Network Amazone trip report.

Ramayana Water Park

Family fun at Pattaya Ramayana water park

In my Ramayana water park trip report my kids said Ramayana is the best water park in Pattaya, they prefer the rides at Ramayana, but their opinion is based on the “thrill” grade of the rides they like to use. Ramayana is also my favorite water park, simply because it’s more spacious and cheaper than Cartoon Network Amazone.

2Sky Pattaya Rocket Ball

It looks like fun, it looks thrilling, and it looks scary. Here’s a description from the 2Sky website “2 SKY PATTAYA Rocket-Ball is a truly breathtaking experience where two brave riders are catapulted high up into the air at totally thrilling speeds, spinning and bouncing as they go”. Just to add a little detail, you reach a height of 50 meters, and reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Tandem Sky Diving in Pattaya

Even in Pattaya, Sky diving is arguably one of the most extremely thrilling things you can do, perhaps even surpassing a ride on a motorcycle taxi, or witnessing your first ping pong show.

You can do a tandem skydive from 13 – 14,000 feet with a qualified instructor in Pattaya without any prior training. Let me know how it goes!!.
