Pattaya T.V. and Radio

Updated February 12, 2022 By Darren C

There are several locally based English language television and radio broadcasting companies in Pattaya. Although it must be said that after a clampdown on the illegal broadcasting of foreign TV networks several years ago, the choice of reliable sources is not as great as it was.

The most popular satellite and cable T.V. options in Pattaya at the moment are Sophon Cable, Truevisions, Thipmanee, and Banglamung Cable TV.

So far as quality of service and choice of channels is concerned, you get what you pay for.

True Visions Pattaya

Connection Type: Cable, Satellite, Apps available for mobile devices.
Price: Packages from 299 – 2,200 baht per month.

Truevisions are the largest cable and satellite TV provider in Thailand. They are more user-friendly than most of their competitors, the viewing guide and menus are far superior to those offered by any other Thai satellite and cable provider.

For installation and inquiries visit or call the Truevisions office on Central Road, opposite Big C Extra, Telephone: 038 426 777.

Sophon cable T.V. Pattaya

Sophon cable coverage is available in Jomtien through to North Pattaya, Naklua and some areas of East Pattaya. 60 channels including Thai and English soundtrack movies, sport, local and international news channels. Installation cost is about 1000 Baht.

Thipmanee ‘TMN’ cable T.V. Pattaya

As yet only available in East Pattaya, “The Dark-side”. Thipmanee ‘TMN’ cable has over 80 channels including 4 movie channels (3 with western soundtrack), I presume that means English, 3 cartoon channels, 7 international sports channels, foreign series channel, and documentary channels. Installation is free. TMN offers an additional “set-top box” with about 10 extra premium channels including sport and movies, this is a one-time payment only.
