If you’re looking for restaurants on the beachfront in Pattaya, where you can feel the sea breeze on your face or even sit with your feet in the sand while listening to the lapping of ocean waves and watching the sun go down, here’s where you’ll find them, and some of the popular options.
The Beer Garden is a restaurant over the water, located just a few meters before the entrance to Walking Street. Choose the tables on the right for views of Pattaya Beach, or head to the far end for views across Pattaya Bay and the sunset.
Wongamat Beach Restaurants
Wongamat Beach is within easy reach of central Pattaya and has several beachfront restaurants to choose from. Surf and Turf is open from early until late and is a good option if you want to dine with your feet in the sand.
A cheaper option on Wongamat Beach is Bamboo Beach Restaurant. The menu is mainly Thai and seafood, and the seating is a little basic, but there’s a good vibe and live music after dark.
The Glass House Silver Lining is a little more upmarket, with a smart-casual dress code. It boasts a retractable roof, and you can choose to dine indoors or outside.
The Beach Club at Pullman Pattaya Hotel G offers dining by day or night, and a relaxed beach club atmosphere during the day. There’s a beach bar and an assortment of loungers and cabanas for rent. Watch out for their weekly barbecue if you’re a seafood lover. However, whether it’s food or drink, it’s not the cheapest option.
Na Jomtien Beach Restaurants
Na Jomtien Beach is another good option, especially if you’re looking for restaurants where you can dine with your feet on the sand and enjoy sea and sunset views.
The top options here include the Glass House BOHO, The Cave Beach Club, View Mare, and Bacco Beach Italian Restaurant.
Naklua and Krating Lai Beach Restaurants
DAM restaurant on Krating Lai Beach offers dining on the beach or indoors. They have an extensive menu that includes Thai and Western food, as well as burgers and other snacks.
If you walk around 300 meters north of DAM, you’ll find a cheap and cheerful restaurant with tables on the beach or undercover, and a mainly Thai and seafood menu.
In Naklua, if you continue heading north, around 800 meters past the Lan Pho fish market and Naklua’s famous tree, you’ll come to Moom Aroi, another popular Thai and seafood restaurant right on the beachfront.
Pratumnak Area Beachfront and Sea-View Restaurants
Cozy Beach has restaurants that practically kiss the beach, like Oxygen, as well as a number perched above it, offering great views and a spectacular backdrop.
One of the most notable is the 3 Mermaids, with both a theme and a backdrop that make it a massive favorite with Instagrammers. There are similar popular restaurants close by, including The Sky Gallery and The Chocolate Factory.
The oddly named Cabbages and Condoms restaurant is part of the Birds and Bees Resort in Pattaya, with “Condoms” borrowed from the safe-sex campaign promoted at the resort, dummies wearing condoms and all. The restaurant sits high above the beach and has spectacular views of Hu Kwang Bay, often referred to as Asia Beach after the Asia Hotel.
Tip: Take some mosquito repellent with you. Despite being near the sea, it only takes a nearby pool of water or some greenery for mosquitoes to thrive.
