Thai Girls & Ladyboys

I think the somewhat forlorn gaze of the lady-boy makes this photo. I almost felt inspired enough to try a little poetry, almost.

Despite mass media coverage, countless books and documentaries, Thailand’s lady-boys are still a bit of an unexplained Miss Terry mystery. This photo (below) was taken at Mimosa in Pattaya, must just say, thanks for striking such a wonderful pose.

Some of Pattaya’s ladyboys, (also known as Kathoeys or Transgenders) are somewhat loud and pushy, some are unassuming and modest, some simply like to state “I am Ladyboy”.
