4 Downtown Pattaya Resort Hotel Havens

Updated May 16, 2020 By Darren C

Downtown Pattaya is a wonderfully convenient place to stay, most everything you need is within walking distance, or can easily be reached by just hopping on a baht bus.

The problem with staying in downtown Pattaya, well, perhaps it’s not a problem for everyone, but there might no escaping downtown Pattaya. By varying degrees, there’s no escaping the overly loud music from a nearby bar complex, the sight, and sound – even smell of traffic, or maybe even an over-exuberant security guard’s whistle.

You can escape downtown Pattaya though, completely. I don’t mean literally, by staying somewhere else. And I don’t mean by retiring to your hotel room, closing the curtains, and donning ear defenders.

Right in downtown Pattaya, more precisely, on Pattaya Beach Road and just behind Walking Street, there are four of the biggest and best resort hotels in Pattaya.

Being typical ‘resort-style hotels’ they are spacious and have extensive gardens, large swimming pools, places to relax outdoors, and places to places to play.

They are in fact great places to be, cool places to hang out. They are a retreat, a haven. A self-contained oasis within but separated from anything and everything else which might be happening in Pattaya.

These hotels are right on the baht bus route, if you’re unfamiliar with baht buses, you will find this guide to getting around Pattaya very useful.

For more information about each hotel, clicking on the links will open the hotel info page on Agoda.com. There are lots of genuine user reviews for each of these hotels on Agoda, and if you are booking within Thailand – you can book without a credit card.

The Dusit Thani is a 5 star resort, the only resort with direct access to Pattaya Beach, and just a short walk to the picturesque Naklua Beach. Dusit Thani is located at the northern end of Pattaya Beach, boasting views of the beach and Pattaya Bay from north to south.

Leisure facilities in include 2 swimming pools and 2 children’s swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, fitness center, spa, aerobics classes, kids club and playground.

Fireworks displays: The Dusit Thani is a great location to view the New Years Eve fireworks, and Pattaya International Fireworks Competition. If you want to stay for the fireworks, book as early as you can.

Siam Bayshore is a 5 star resort, situated between 2nd Road and Walking Street/Bali Hai Pier. You can access both Walking Street and 2nd Road direct from the hotel grounds.

Leisure facilities include 2 swimming pools with Jacuzzi, children’s pool with slide, 6 tennis courts, tennis lessons, cooking class, fitness center, pool table, table tennis, board games, spa.

What’s really good about these hotels is, not only can you have a great day out enjoying some of the many fun things to do in Pattaya, you can have a great day in doing fun things at the hotel

If you enjoy the peace and quiet of resorts like these, I suggest you also consider a beach-front resort. There’s some fantastic resorts on the beach front in Pattaya, and they are still conveniently located nearby.

TIP: If you’re visiting Pattaya during the low season, the reduced rates might just be the perfect opportunity to enjoy a little otherwise unaffordable luxury.

Check the rates beginning May and June, through to mid October and November 1st for low season deals.
