Thai Spirit Houses on Buddha Hill

Updated May 31, 2021 By Darren C

Being in the vicinity of a temple, this Banyan tree is an ideal place for people to bring their unwanted spirit houses and other broken religious and spiritual relics. In Thailand it’s not normal practice to throw away spirit houses and religious relics, especially figures of Buddha, instead they are placed under a Banyan tree, usally in the grounds of a temple.
