The only “Bottle Art” museum in the World is in Pattaya Thailand. Don’t expect to find artistically crafted bottles here, dating back hundreds of years, or even fifty years, in fact, don’t expect to find artistically crafted bottles. Technically speaking, a museum does not always contain old artifacts, a museum may display items of artistic, scientific or historical significance. And the art associated with bottles at the Pattaya Bottle Art Museum is actually inside the bottles.
The Bottle Art Museum is one of many Pattaya tourist attractions, you can visit the Bottle Art Museum when you have limited time or you can take it in with 2 or 3 more locally located Pattaya tourist attractions such as Mini Siam or the Sanctuary of Truth.
The Pattaya Bottle Art Museum consists of 3 rooms exhibiting miniature models of famous landmarks from around the World and Thailand, and of course the majority of them are inside bottles, except for certain examples such as these Thai miniatures (pictured above) which are in a glass display case.
The majority of the exhibits are behind glass fronted wall recesses like you see in the picture above. The bulk of the miniature models are examples of architecture from around the World, be it a traditional Thai wooden house or a Dutch windmill.
The exhibit above is a bottle containing the 8 Buddhas of the days, yes, I know there’s only seven days in a week, 2 of the Buddhas are for Wednesday morning and Wednesday night respectively.
Pictured above, is what the Pattaya Bottle Art Museum class as their “masterpiece”, it’s actually a lot bigger than it looks in the above photo. This particular piece took over one year to complete.
Once you’ve done the tour, as usual with just about all Pattaya tourist attractions there is one last exhibition to see, yep you got it, the souvenirs.
To fully appreciate the Pattaya Bottle Art Museum don’t simply look at the exhibits as models but models actually built inside the bottle, there is no “how do you get the ship in the bottle” routine here. each model is actually painstakingly built inside the bottle.
