Bang Saen Beach – Chonburi Thailand

Updated June 9, 2019 By Darren C

Bang Saen beach is just a 30 – 40 minute drive from Pattaya, a nice day out for the children would be Bang Saen beach and Monkey Mountain. Bang Saen Beach is very similar to the beach of Jomtien, but a little more child orientated.

As you can see in the photo above, Bang Saen beach does get busy, especially at weekends due to its close proximity to Bangkok. Bang Saen beach has a different feel and atmosphere to the beaches of Pattaya and Jomtien, it’s definitely a more child friendly beach.

The beach road at Bang Saen is a world apart from the beach road at Pattaya, Bang Saen beach road is wide, uncluttered, and has lots of space for parking, though you might struggle a little if you arrive late on a Saturday or Sunday. There are also many nice restaurants and resorts along the Bang Saen Beach Road.

If you decide to drive up Monkey Mountain as well, you can take in the fantastic views of Bang Saen from the viewpoint.

One word of caution, please be careful if you feed the monkeys, they are “wild” and therefore unpredictable.

Use the Bang Saen Beach Map to locate and get directions to Bang Saen Beach.
