I’m no expert on Thai Spirit Houses but I know they should not simply be dumped as though they are garbage. Even broken spirit houses should be placed somewhere appropriate like the ones underneath the sacred fig tree on Pattaya’s Buddha Hill. I photographed the spirit houses pictured below whilst on holiday in Pranburi, and was, after reading many articles on Thai Spirit Houses, surprised to see them here.
It would appear that these Thai Spirit Houses have been casually dumped here, being right on the side of a remote road it is probably the work of a fly tipper. The only other reasons why the spirit houses would be dumped here in this fashion are, they were placed by a non Thai person, a Thai with no Animist beliefs, or they are so broken that a spirit would not consider living in them again.
