Pattaya Beach Safe Swimming Zones

Updated March 21, 2018 By Darren C

The beaches of Pattaya and Jomtien have had their safe swimming zones upgraded, the buoys have been replaced with a boom style barrier to keep jet-skis and boats from entering the bathing area. The new barriers look great, but they have already claimed a life, and the new safe swimming zones on Pattaya’s beaches have inadvertently become one of the latest beach hazards for the unwitting and the foolhardy.

The new safe swimming areas on Pattaya and Jomtien beaches look like great fun, and they look strong and highly visible. But unfortunately the new boom style barriers which have replaced the buoy style barriers have inadvertently become a fun looking but deadly hazard to non swimmers.

The new Pattaya Beach safe swimming area barriers have already claimed one life, it’s ironic, and it’s needless, but so long as you are cautious and sensible there is no need to lose any sleep over it.

It’s easy to discount any misadventure suffered whilst playing on the booms as stupidity or easily avoidable, but sometimes our sense of adventure and fun over-ride caution and commonsense. The dangers of Pattaya’s new safe swimming area booms are obvious, but so is the appeal, the pictured above has already been modified, but how far would these 2 youngsters have gone if it had not ?.
