There were formerly 2 outdoor lawn bowling clubs in Pattaya, The first to roll a bowl in anger was the original ‘The Bowling Green’ way back in 1999, sad to say though that The Bowling Green occupied a prime piece of real estate and was gobbled up by developers. Since that first speculative opening of ‘The Bowling Green’ lawn bowls has become well established in Pattaya and has remained incredibly popular at the one remaining outdoor lawn bowls club.
The Retreat Bowling Club is situated a little out of town on the east side of Pattaya, but having 2 greens and good facilities, The Retreat has remained popular with Pattaya’s lawn bowls community. Pattaya Indoor Lawn Bowling.
There is now an indoor lawn bowling facility at the Coco Club Indoor Lawn Bowls Centre and Resort of Thailand. They have 4 rinks open to members and non-members alike, no restrictions, you can just walk in and play. Coco Club also has wheelchair/disabled facilities. Coco Club Facebook page.
There are leagues and regular knock-out competitions run by both The Retreat and Coco Club, if you fancy your chances against the local experts or you just want a friendly game of bowls on your own, you are more than welcome.
