Football, or soccer if that’s what you prefer to call it, is a big thing in Pattaya, despite lacking public playing fields, shame on you Pattaya. With a number of training academies, competitive leagues, and pitches for rent, it’s easy enough to arrange a kick-about or get your kids involved.
K Football Stadium Pattaya
Opened on 14th June 2010 the K Football Stadium in Pattaya comprises 2 football pitches, one for 5 a side and one three quarter size pitch suitable for 11 a side football games. The 2 football pitches are indoors and have FIFA standard artificial playing surfaces.
The pitches are open to the public at an hourly rate which varies for weekend, holiday, and time of the day, but expect to pay between 1,200 and 1,800 Baht depending on the pitch size.

Star Soccer
Star Soccer have 2 pitches, both 30×45 meters. The pitches are available for rent by the hour, 24 hours a day.

Planet Football Pattaya
Planet Football (see photo below) have 2 artificial pitches and 1 indoor asphalt surface. Planet Football organize and take part in various leagues and competitions. They also have a soccer training academy for youngsters on Saturday mornings and Wednesday nights. On-site facilities at Planet Football include a bar and restaurant.
Planet Football is located on Soi Siam Country Club, just before Soi Pornpranamint 23 as you head to towards Mabprachan Lake.

Does Pattaya have a football team?
Yes. If you wanted to follow a local team, like you did/do back home, you would follow Pattaya United, formerly named Pattaya Dolphins United, and playing their home games at Nongprue Stadium in East Pattaya.
