White Sands Beach is the most popular beach on Koh Chang, it’s probably not the most beautiful, personally I think Klong Prao Beach is a nicer beach, but White Sands Beach is closer to the main road, public beach access is easier, there is night-life, lots of restaurants, convenience stores, mini markets, and it’s the first beach “proper” as you head down the west side of Koh Chang.
I’m not going to give you a lengthy description, not going to tell you why the sand is white, and that sand was once actually coral reef, I’m not going to tell you how tall the trees are, or that coconuts falling from trees can kill you. I will tell you that White Sand Beach is approximately 2.5 kilometers long, there are lots of resorts situated on it, and it’s a very nice beach, a very very nice beach, just take a look at the photos below. I will just add that it’s a bit of a roller coaster ride from the ferry terminal to White Sands Beach, drive carefully.
