Another Amazing Fireworks Show on Pattaya Beach.
I think fireworks displays are irresistible, and you can always guarantee a good show in Pattaya, be it the annual International Fireworks Competition or the New Years Eve fireworks display. Personally I think the New Years Eve displays are much more spectacular, they are more prolonged and they have more “BOOOM” (if you know what I mean).

I only managed to see the final day and a little disappointingly there was only one show. Nothing wrong with the fireworks display, it was spectacular but I was expecting 3 or 4 displays to be spread out over the night. After the first show finished I changed lenses and sat in eager anticipation of the next, and maybe even more spectacular display, and of course it never happened.
On a positive note, Beach Road was closed to traffic, so no shoulder swerving, tripping over kerbs or being brushed by Baht Bus wing mirrors, “such as I experienced during this years Loy Krathong festival“.
There was a good turnout and lots of seating on the beach, prices were at a premium though, 50 Baht for a deck chair and 120 Baht for a large Singha beer, none of this seemed to deter the rats though.
And the Pattaya International Fireworks Competition was won by ?.
Does anybody know ??, Singapore, United States, China or Canada ?.
