It’s been a number of years since I ventured inside one of Pattaya’s many Go-Go bars, my favorite was Peppermint Agogo on Walking Street, the only problem was it seemed like it was everyone’s favorite. If attendance was to be used as a yardstick there was no doubt Peppermint would have been the best Go-Go in Pattaya. They had everything at Peppermint, 2 stages, table dancers, a cubicle show, and topless bar staff.
There is fierce competition these days, since Pattaya’s first Go-Go bar ‘Tahitian Queen’ opened in 1978 the popularity of Go-Go bars has lead to numerous new ventures experimenting with titillation and variety to attract punters. Despite the fierce competition, Go-Go bars have flourished in Pattaya. Some are popular afternoon haunts, some preferred for their music, happy hours and free food work for some. Extravagant routines, erotic shows, and sideshows are employed by the most popular Go-Go’s in Pattaya these days.
