Pattaya Photos: Soi Yamato 2014

Updated April 27, 2025 By Darren C

Soi Yamato is officially known as Soi 13/1, but best known as Yamato—not after the famous Japanese battleship—but after a long established Japanese restaurant on the street. It is located in South Pattaya between Pattaya Beach Road and Second Road.

Although Soi Yamato is not as well known as Walking Street, Soi 7, Soi 6, and Soi Buakhao, it has always been popular, and is one of the liveliest nightlife streets at the south end of Pattaya Beach Road. Formerly home to some Agogo bars that popular in the afternoon, the infamous Dog’s Bollocks bar, and a number of restaurants, it’s currently home to the famous Hops bar and restaurant and an assortment of girlie bars and massage parlors.
