Dancing to The Temple

Updated June 2, 2024 By Darren C

It’s not street dancing as we know it, it’s not dancing in the street as we know it. This is more of a procession, a dancing procession, dancing all the way to the neighborhood temple in Buriram, Northeast Thailand. Among the procession are members of my wife’s family, extended family, and friends, and they are heading to the temple for the ordination of a Buddhist Monk.

It’s a slower pace of life in cities such as Buriram in Northeast Thailand, with seemingly little to do. But hey, if you’re heading up that way to see your future in-laws, you don’t need to be bored in Buriram.
